| Summit County bills itself as "Colorado's Playground", and that's pretty much accurate. In the winter you can, well...ski, and ski, and ski. Breckenridge, Keystone, Arapahoe Basin, and Copper Mountain are all great places to carve turns or learn why so may of us like to slide down snow-covered mountains with wood or fiberglass sticks on our feet. Plenty of X-country and telemark skiing, as well as snowshoeing, too. In the summer, Summit County is a hiking, cycling, and boating mecca. Yeah, boating. The Dillon Reservoir may not be Lake Michigan, but it's still pretty cool. The towns of Breckenridge, Dillon/Silverthrone, and Frisco have everything you could ever want...even a set of those trendy factory outlet stores! You can always find something to do here!! |
