| Oh, why can't all 14ers have their own hot springs resort? Located at the base of Mt. Princeton, these hot springs are just the ticket after a day of climbing the Collegiates. Back near the turn of the (20th) century, there was an opulent resort located here, and people flocked to the springs from all over the world. Today its somewhat less posh, but still a good soak anyway. Not usually too busy, but every now and then the crowds can be thick. In addition to the 3 swimming pools, hot tubs, and several rock pools, this little resort does have lodging and a pretty good restaurant, too. Highly recommended. This is one of those spots that mostly the locals know about and no one outside Colorado has ever heard of. |
