| A major tourist attraction in the city of Glenwood Springs...these pools of 90+ degree water are great for soothing sore muscles or just relaxing. Being "the world's largest outdoor mineral hot springs pool", it tends to be a popular tourist destination year-round, so there will probably be some crowds to contend with. Next to the springs are the Yampa Vapor caves, which, according to Indian legend, have miraculous curative powers. I don't know about that, but it is extremely relaxing, despite the crowds. Glenwood is also a nice town to just stroll around. While having all the comforts of a larger city, it still manages to have a small-town feel to it. |
