Day 6
Day six was a second acclimatization hike, a bit longer of a day than the previous one. We departed from the hotel and hiked downvalley for a mile or so, then hiked an access road up the valley for a short ways before bushwhacking our way to a prominent ridge, which we followed as it gradually ascended to a local observatory. We weren’t allowed to hike all the way to the observatory complex itself (restricted), but we crested the ridge just below it just in time to get caught in a brief rain shower. Out decent was down a steep, grassy (and rain-slicked) incline, intersecting the access road we started on, and then back to our hotel.

Up we go again...
Cimbing steep, grassy slopes

...and up...
the terrain goes from grassy to rocky
