| Ah, Aspen. Certainly high on the list of the schmoozingest places on earth. People both famous and not famous come here to see and be seen. On any given day, you could see any number of politicians, celebrities, and other notable folk. Seems like everyone in Hollywood has a winter home here, and the prices in town reflect it. But it's a nice escape from reality, anyway. If you can actually afford to stay in town, make sure to take the time to drive around and get a good look at everything. Driving Independence Pass is an experience not to be missed. In the winter, the skiing is usually top-notch, but most folks on an overnight trip stay down in Glenwood Springs with the rest of us in more normal income brackets. The average house in town goes for $1.8 million. Don't you wish you could afford that? |
