Welcome to fourteeners.org . . . one man's (that would be me) perspective on the Colorado 14er's (14,000 ft. peaks), including info on trails, gear, environmental impact, and lots more! To date I've made 51 separate summits...only 3 to go!

Most recent update, 03.23.07
Latest Conditions>> Sure, the calendar says spring, but don't believe it in the mountains! March is the heaviest snow month here in Colorado, so don't let your winter guard down yet! Be aware of the weather forecast and avalanche potentials...a few more weeks at least until we hit those "spring" condiitons. Be prepared and climb safe!

Climb update>> Holy crap, where did the last few months go? Man, you get busy at work and before you know you've lost the winter! Haven't been out NEARLY as much as I'd've liked to be. And for me the springtime is usually more of a cycling-focused time, so climbing is going to be few & far between from now until July. But, gonna be heading to Durango late in the summer to knock off my last 3 14ers (Sunlight, Windom, Eolus) and complete my Grand Slam! And coming up in '09, Aconcaugua is offically on the radar...Jan 9 - Feb 1. I expect the fall and winter to be chock full of training climbs (lotsa Pikes Peak runs, I'd guess...). So, a light spring followed by one busy, busy fall/winter. Stay tuned!
